The 'OO' EM1 kit consists of etched, cast whitemetal, and brass parts.
The kit includes pantograph kits, etched chassis frames, pipework, nameplates, and wheel bearings. You will need to add wheels (16mm), gears (40:1 Romford) and motor (Mashima 16/26 recommended) to complete this (ask us if you want to order these parts from us, we usually keep these in stock). You can also use a Lima class 52 chassis if you want a quicker result.
This kit will allow you to build a realistic looking loco with thin-walled etched sides--no 'chunky' resin casts are used here!
