MSL Hobbies is pleased to announce the release of two new types of bogie drive units. The drive units are available to suit your choice of wheelbase, from 26mm to 65mm. Tell us the size you need, and in 3-14 days we'll provide you with the units configured to suit! (or we'll tell you why we can't).

The drive units are based around a gearbox and common framework design, allowing many configurations to be achieved by simple adjustment. The common framework design is the subject of a patent application.Supporting brackets are also provided to allow the drive units to be attached to outer detail frames, and facilitate easy removal of the outer frames.

Two types of unit are available, a) as a compact four-wheel directly driven unit, and b)  have a centrally mounted motor, powering two bogies.

a)  4-wheel (2M2), EM1 pack (2M2EM1) 
b)  4+4 unit (4-M-4),  6+6 unit (6-M-6)
Replacement power pick-up contacts are available, and we support the custom-build hobbyists by supplying the gearbox units and motors separately.
